Taste of Alpharetta executed a new food recovery program aligned with the goal of producing the first “Taste with No Waste.” Managed by the Alpharetta Chamber of Commerce, restaurants donated 210 pounds of food to Second Helpings Atlanta which redistributes food to various Metro Atlanta social service agencies dedicated to providing food assistance to the community.

“We are leading by example to build a culture of giving back to our community,” Nancy Hoehn, Alpharetta Chamber of Commerce President and CEO said in a release. “Hopefully, we can be an example to other Chambers and Taste events to start the same initiative in their communities.”
