Avalon To Host Dog Show Benefiting Children’s Healthcare
Dog lovers are invited to Avalon for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's fourth annual Dog Show Off at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 23.

ALPHARETTA, GA -- Dog lovers are invited to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s fourth annual Dog Show Off. The canine “talent show” benefits Children’s Canines for Kids – a program in which 16 specially trained pups provide comfort, friendship and courage to sick children in need. The event will be at Avalon, 400 Avalon Blvd., at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 23.
Until 2 p.m. on the day of the event, guests can register pooches to show off their scruffy good looks, doggone good obedience and paw-some temperament. Dogs will be categorized as small, medium or large, with prizes being awarded to the best-in-class pup in each category. Canines for Kids is one of Children’s only programs that is solely donor-funded, and guests are encouraged to purchase silver, gold or platinum sponsorship packages ranging from $250 to $1,000 to support the program. Throughout the event, dog enthusiasts will have the opportunity to meet the Canines who visit more than 300 patients each day.
To register a dog or purchase sponsorship tickets, visit online. Pups can also be registered on the day of the event from 1:30 to 2 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. The cost for registering a dog to participate in the show off is $30; $45 with a photo included.
