Avalon Hosts Free Grand Opening Event for Children's Play Area on Nov. 2

WHAT: As a part of its four-day grand opening celebration, Avalon will host a family friendly ribbon-cutting for its soft play area on Sunday, Nov. 2, at 10:30 a.m. Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is the official sponsor of the Avalon Play Area.

The custom-designed indoor/outdoor play area has a squirrel and acorn theme to celebrate Avalon’s four 40-year-old oak trees. The squirrel play structures encourage children to have fun with exercise activities such as sit-ups and pull-ups. Avalon invites families to enjoy complimentary coffee and bagels from Goldberg’s while the kids play.

In addition to exploring the play area, here is a list of activities children will enjoy:
· Princesses from Glass Slipper Entertainment will greet guests and add a magical touch to the event.
· Children can get creative and help make the ribbon that will be used during the play area’s ribbon-cutting ceremony.
· Kids ages 3-12 can make a personalized art piece by decorating a ceramic plate at the PNC Bank craft table.

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, adults can get in on the fitness fun and visit the Plaza at 11:30 a.m. for a core fusion yoga class taught by an exhale instructor.
