Avalon's Signature Events Include Free Yoga, Live Music

From Avalon: Avalon, the award-winning mixed-use community in Alpharetta, has announced its 2018 Signature Events lineup, which includes returning favorites Little Acorns, AvalOM, Avalon Nights Live and Punchline Comedy at Avalon.

Little Acorns, AvalOM and Avalon Nights Live are set to kick off April 3, April 4 and April 6, respectively, and will occur weekly through October. Punchline Comedy at Avalon will take place once a month beginning April 2. “Our team of ExperienceMakers is thrilled to be bringing the Alpharetta community a fourth season of Avalon’s exciting, signature events,” said Carla Cox, director of marketing at Avalon. “Avalon is the perfect place for families and friends to gather and enjoy new experiences that emphasize wellness, learning and quality time spent with loved ones.”

Signature Events will be conveniently positioned in Avalon’s central gathering space, The Plaza, adjacent to Concierge, except for Punchline Comedy which will take place in Palmer Plaza. All events are free and open to the public. More details about each event are below:

 Little Acorns: Every Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. to noon, parents and caregivers are invited to bring their pre-school aged tots for free playtime fun in The Plaza. Weekly surprises will range from face painting to exciting storytellers, as well as visits from favorite characters and more. This event begins on April 3 and lasts through Oct. 30.

 AvalOM: Breathe in. Breathe out. Every Wednesday evening from 6 to 7 p.m., fitness fanatics are invited to attend a free wellness class in The Plaza to salute the sun. Classes will be a variety of yoga, pilates and barre-less barre, and will be led by expert instructors from Club Pilates, Athleta, Flywheel Sports and Lululemon. This event begins April 4 and lasts through Oct. 24.

 Avalon Nights Live: Looking for the perfect opportunity to sit back, relax and enjoy the show? Families and friends are invited to unwind after a long week with live music from local artists every Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in The Plaza. Guests are welcome to enjoy dinner and a show by grabbing to-go food and drinks from Avalon’s popular eateries like Rumi’s Kitchen and Branch & Barrel and bring their meals out on the plaza for a great evening. Avalon Nights Live event begins April 6 and lasts through Oct. 26.

 The Punchline Comedy Night at Avalon: On the first Monday of each month, laugh out loud with The Punchline’s live comedy acts in Palmer Plaza (located between Oak Steakhouse and Colletta). Beginning at 7:30 p.m., the performances are expected to last about 90 minutes and are recommended for ages 13 and older. Oak Steakhouse and Colletta will offer food and drink specials during each show. Punchline Comedy kicks off on April 2 – be sure to check Avalon’s website each month for information on performers.
