Bank Robbery Reported Near North Point Mall

The suspect passed a note stating the employees had 30 seconds to hand over the money and "no one gets shot."

ALPHARETTA, GA -- Alpharetta detectives are investigating a bank robbery reported Monday afternoon near North Point Mall. Officers were dispatched to the call of the robbery around 3:09 p.m. Oct. 16 to Regions Bank at 6503 North Point Parkway.

They arrived on the scene and met with the bank manager and employee, who said a man walked into the establishment and said he needed to make a deposit. The employee walked around the corner and went into his office, which was when the male pulled out a black pouch with a note sticking out of it.

"The note went on to say you have 30 seconds to do so and no one gets shot," the report added.

The male left the business, and was observed running across North Point Parkway and getting into black vehicle parked behind Dave and Buster's. The report describes the alleged robber as a black male about 5 feet, 8 inches tall weighing about 180 pounds. He was wearing a black hat, dark sunglasses and a black and red shirt.
