The Women's Transportation Seminar seeks to attract more women in the transportation industry.

ALPHARETTA, GA -- Brandon Beach, a Georgia State senator and North Fulton Community Improvement District executive director, has been awarded the Honorable Raye LaHood Man of the Year award by the Atlanta Women’s Transportation Seminar at its annual scholarship luncheon.

The lunch was held Thursday, Oct. 26 at the Georgia Aquarium, and featured Gov. Nathan Deal as the keynote speaker. The award recognizes men who have been key to WTS International’s efforts to attract, retain and advance women in transportation.

“It is an honor to accept the Man of the Year award from such an incredible organization,” Beach said. “It is important that we have women and men in the transportation industry collaborate together to bring about positive change. I have had the privilege of working with women who have been instrumental and inspirational in transportation, and they deserve to achieve the highest levels of leadership.”
