Bike Alpharetta Candidate Forum Set For April 19
The forum will feature all six candidates running to fill the mayor and Posts 3 and 4 seats on the Council.

ALPHARETTA, GA — Bike Alpharetta is gearing up to host an open forum for residents to get to know the six candidates running for elected office in the city. The organization's forum will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 19 at Alpharetta City Hall.
Post 3 candidates Katie Harding and Karen Richard, Post 4 contenders John Hipes and Clifford Martin and mayoral candidates Jim Gilvin and Chris Owen are all running in the May 22 special election to fill the three seats.
The forum is free and open to the public. The four city council candidates will take part in a question-and-answer session from 7 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., with the two mayoral candidates participating from 8 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. All six candidates have committed to attending Bike Alpharetta's forum, the nonprofit organization said.

“This is a great opportunity to hear from those vying for leadership roles in our community,” said Bill Lusby, president of Bike Alpharetta, who will moderate the forum. “We are excited about the commitment from all candidates. We hope our neighbors and friends will take advantage of this community conversation.”

Questions for the candidates may be submitted in advance via email to bikealpharetta@gmail.com or by posting to the organization’s Facebook event page. Each of the two question-and-answer sessions will be limited to 45 minutes. Bike Alpharetta does not endorse any political candidates.
