Boulevard East Block Party At Avalon Set For April 12

ALPHARETTA, GA — Nearly a year ago, the award-winning mixed-use community Avalon in Alpharetta doubled in size and tripled in density with the addition of Boulevard East, the second phase of the development. On Thursday, April 12, the North Fulton community is invited to celebrate the addition's one-year anniversary at the Boulevard East Block Party.

“This past year has been a whirlwind of excitement for everyone involved in making this community a success," said Carla Cox, director of marketing at Avalon. "It is hard to believe that we are already celebrating the one year anniversary of Boulevard East. We are continuing to attract best-in-class retailers and restaurants and look forward to the next chapter at Avalon.”

Kicking off at 5 p.m., Avalon Boulevard will be closed to pedestrian-only traffic, as the street is transformed into a block party filled with live music from Lucky Town and in-store specials and discounts offered by Avalon retailers and restaurants. The Woodhouse Day Spa will also host its official grand opening celebration featuring complimentary champagne, live music, lite bites and discounts during the Block Party.

In conjunction with the Boulevard East Block Party, The Hotel at Avalon will host a sneak peek of the private rooftop pool terrace, graciously perched above Boulevard East. This celebration will mark the official opening of the outdoor Magnolia Bar and feature signature cocktails, hotel swag, and more.

In April 2017, more than 3,000 guests, residents and employees gathered along Avalon’s Boulevard East to marvel at the new features during the Celebrate Avalon event. The Boulevard East Block Party marks the one year milestone since the grand opening and is free for the public to attend.

Other Avalon retailers and restaurants participating in the April 12 event include:

• Barleygarden Kitchen & Craft Bar – $1 drafts of Victory Brewing Black Forest Stout, $1 brat sliders, and $1 mini-dogs.
• Boardroom Salon – Product giveaways, plus, $50 off annual memberships and 10 percent off all services for appointments scheduled during the event.
• Boogaloos – Tiered discount, gift with purchase of $20 or more, and treats in-store.
• Brine Seafood Shack – $6 Brine Hurricanes, half-off oysters (east coast, west coast and gulf), and $3 specialty cans of beer all day.
• Brooks Brothers – 200th Anniversary of Bauli Pannettone (Italian Cake with Cake Tin).
• Club Pilates – Offering a giveaway for all guests who stop by. Guests are invited to sign up for a free 30-minute intro class and enter to win a free one month unlimited membership. Plus, all retail items 15 percent off.
• Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams – Special trio menu item exclusive for the event.
• Levi’s – 25 percent off a purchase of $150 or more.
• Lucky Brand - $25 off of purchases of $100 or more.
• Pottery Barn – Light bites, beverages, pop=ups with local artisans, and face painting.
• Scout & Molly’s – 30 percent off storewide (excluding Spanx) and in-store trunk show.
• The Woodhouse Day Spa – Offering tours of the spa with complimentary champagne, small bites and live music. Special offers from 5 to 8:30 p.m., including 15 percent off retail, $50 bonus card with any gift card purchase over $300, and 15 percent off all pre-booked services. Prizes will also be given out throughout the evening.
