Burglary Suspects Targeted Milton Homes For Sale: Police
The suspects, one of which has been identified, have broken into at least four homes listed on the real estate market.
MILTON, GA -- Arrest warrants have been issued for one of two suspects accused of burglarizing four homes on the real estate market late last month in the city of Milton. Police are looking for Omisha Sands, who is wanted on felony burglary charges, the agency said Wednesday evening.
The four burglaries took place July 20-30 and in all instances, all homes were vacant, but furnished and up for sale. The first three incidents occurred in the Brookshade and Vickery Crest subdivisions, while the most recent burglary took place in Champions View. In all incidents, the homes were not wired for alarms and the suspects entered through the back of the homes, typically through a basement window or door, Milton police said.
Sands, a 19-year-old black woman, is 5'3'' tall and weighs around 208 pounds. Milton police Capt. Charles Barstow said officers believe Sands is in the Acworth area in Cobb County. An additional male suspect is being sought and detectives will share details with the public as soon as that information is available.
