Atlanta History Center: Atlanta in 100 Objects As part of its year-long 100th anniversary celebration, Atlanta History Center announced the opening of campus-wide exhibition that offers a vibrant portrait of Atlanta through the objects that define it. The exhibition extends across Atlanta History Center’s 33-acre campus, including galleries, immersive experiences, gardens, and historic homes, inviting visitors into a self-guided, treasure hunt-style experience to discover these objects in person.
Bartow History Center: The Bartow History Museum, located in historic downtown Cartersville, explores 200 years of Bartow County history, from early Cherokee habitation to modern events. Housed in the refurbished 1869 courthouse, the museum features engaging exhibits, including the newest, “Essential Ingredients: The Joy of the Cookbook,” which traces the evolution of printed cookbooks.
Booth Western Art Museum: Now on view at the Booth Western Art Museum, Jeremy Lipking – 30 Years a Painter (1996–2026) celebrates the extraordinary career of Jeremy Lipking, featuring more than 30 stunning works that capture the light, atmosphere, and beauty of everyday life. Also on view are two captivating photography exhibitions—Photographer Cody S. Brothers: American Film, showcasing striking black-and-white imagery and experimental techniques, and The West in Focus: Indigenous People, featuring photographs by Native American photographers and Native Americans as the subject in a variety of photographic media.
High Museum of Art: Isamu Noguchi: 'I am not a designer. Although Isamu Noguchi declared in 1949, “I am not a designer,” the internationally acclaimed artist’s work exemplifies the broadest definition of design. The High presents the artist’s first design retrospective in over 20 years, featuring nearly 200 objects, many never exhibited and rarely seen, spanning all facets of his creative output. The exhibition also coincides with the 50th anniversary of “Playscapes,” a bicentennial gift for the city of Atlanta commissioned by the High in collaboration with the City of Atlanta Parks Department and the only one of Noguchi’s playgrounds built in the United States during his lifetime.
National Center for Civil and Human Rights: Saturday Adventures at the Center Start your visit in Change Agent Adventure: Children’s Gallery, an interactive “secret headquarters” designed especially for children 12 and under. Here, young changemakers can step into action through hands-on play, creative problem-solving, and activities that build empathy, courage, and confidence. Then, keep the adventure going throughout the museum with family-friendly experiences designed to spark curiosity and conversation. From engaging storytimes to creative crafts and interactive activities, each Saturday brings something new to explore together.
Savoy Automobile Museum: Don't miss the opportunity to see the temporary exhibit, Corvette: The Early Years. In this exhibition, they focus on the early years, showcasing a variety of special examples from the first three generations: C1 (1953-1962), C2 (1963-1967), and C3 (1968-1982). Included in this exhibit are two concept cars a 1959 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Racer, on loan from General Motors, and a 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Manta Ray, on loan from General Motors. The exhibit closes on May 31, 2026.
Tellus Museum: Measurement Rules How may chickens do you weigh? How tall are you in apples or inches or pennies? Can you use your foot as a ruler? Explore these and other questions in this new interactive exhibit in the Discovery Garden at Tellus Museum. It may be common to measure using standard tools such as measuring tapes and cups, but Measurement Rules explores non-standard tools such as balancing scales, odometers, calipers, 3-D imaging, and counting “Mississippis.” Explore this exhibit and become confident in the language of measurement through length, weight, volume, and time.
