Seven Atlanta-Area Museums Offer Free Admission to Eligible Cardholders Oct. 3-4

Weekend events include family storytime, teacher resources, major art exhibitions, local history, automobiles, and hands-on science.

Bank of America, Merrill, and Bank of America Private Bank credit and debit cardholders can receive free general admission at seven participating Atlanta-area cultural institutions Oct. 3-4 through Museums on Us. Admission is available to the cardholder with a qualifying card and photo ID.

FEATURED LOCAL OPPORTUNITIES

Atlanta History Center — Joy to the City: Atlanta Smiles at the Camera
The exhibition opens Oct. 3 and features historic photographs of moments of joy and daily life in Atlanta. The museum is open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Bartow History Museum — We Neighbors Would Meet Together: Oothcaloga Moravian Mission, Integration, and Cherokee Identity
The exhibition examines the Oothcaloga Moravian Mission and its influence on Cherokee education, cultural exchange, nationalism, and sovereignty. The museum participates on Saturday only and is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Booth Western Art Museum
The Cartersville museum features contemporary Western art, presidential portraits and letters, Civil War art, and an interactive children’s gallery. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday.

High Museum of Art — Martin Puryear: Nexus
The exhibition, on view Sept. 25, 2026-Jan. 17, 2027, features more than 70 sculptures, drawings, and prints. Atlanta is its final stop and only Southeast venue. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and noon-5 p.m. Sunday.

National Center for Civil and Human Rights — Saturday Adventures at the Center: Book Spotlight “Sofia Valdez, Future Prez”
Families can attend storytime and a hands-on activity tied to Hispanic Heritage Month from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Readings are scheduled for noon and 1 p.m.

National Center for Civil and Human Rights — A Worthy Objective: National Teachers Day at the Center
Educators can explore exhibitions, classroom resources, field guides, traveling trunk demonstrations, and related activities from noon-5 p.m. Sunday.

Savoy Automobile Museum — Innovation to a T
Model T vehicles and related displays show how design and engineering adapted the automobile for farms, businesses, emergencies, and travel. The museum is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Tellus Science Museum
Visitors can explore fossils, gems, historic aircraft, and hands-on science exhibits from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Fossil Dig and Gem Panning are included with general admission when available. Planetarium shows and the Saturday evening Sky Watch require separate tickets.

HOW

Eligible cardholders receive one free general admission with an active Bank of America, Merrill, or Bank of America Private Bank credit or debit card and government-issued photo ID. The offer is nontransferable and excludes separately ticketed exhibitions, events, and experiences. Admission is subject to capacity and each institution’s procedures.
