Cambridge Debate Team Competes at the GFCA 2nd Year State Championship

Madison Landis and Nikhil Yagnik members of the Cambridge High School Debate Team attended the GFCA 2nd Year State Championship at Lassiter High School the weekend of February 20, 2015. They received a Quarterfinals award for advancing to elimination rounds. Madison Landis was the 2nd place speaker out of more than thirty five contestants.

This was only Madison and Nik’s second time competing together as a debate team. Performing so well at the tournament is quite an accomplishment considering this is only Nik’s first year in debate and the team debated in the second year division.

The Cambridge Debate Team has grown remarkably as a program thanks to the leadership of their sponsor, Mr. James Campbell, and the hard work of the talented debaters.
