Carrington Academy in Alpharetta Holds Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Tours of the new school and refreshments were provided, along with a performance by students from Carrington Academy McFarland

On Oct. 4, Carrington Academy on Webb Bridge Road behind the Avalon community development in Alpharetta hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony. Remarks were provided by Principal Stephen Morrison, Kimberly Sharpe, Executive Director of Carrington Academy, and Patty Miller, President of Nobel Learning Communities, Inc., the parent company of Carrington Academy. Representatives from North Fulton Chamber of Commerce were in attendance, along with enrolled and prospective students and their families. Students from Carrington Academy's McFarland campus performed a song, and attendees participated in tours of the school.

The event also provided an opportunity for families to meet the school principal and teachers, explore classrooms and learn more about Carrington Academy’s signature Links to Learning curriculum. Links to Learning is a preschool-specific curriculum complete with monthly developmental skill summaries that closely involve parents. The goals of the program are to provide a high-caliber, developmentally appropriate education within the classroom, to enhance dialogue with parents and to provide constructive guidance on how parents can become more involved with their children’s education through at-home activities that reinforce what’s being learned at school.
