Carrington Academy McFarland Students Donate Food to Nonprofit

Students at Carrington Academy McFarland in Alpharetta recently donated more than 1,000 food items to Blessings in a Backpack, a local nonprofit that provides food to children in need. Throughout November, students worked together to collect food items to stock the organization’s shelves and provide meals to children in their community. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of giving back and helping others, especially during the holiday season.

Blessings in a Backpack mobilizes communities, individuals and resources to provide food on the weekends for children who might otherwise go hungry.
