Carrington Academy Students in Alpharetta Deliver Gifts for Local Foster Care Children
Pre-kindergarten students dropped off clothes, shoes, toys and other donations they collected to Angels Over Forsyth representatives
On Dec. 14, pre-kindergarten students from Carrington Academy McFarland and Carrington Academy Big Creek in Alpharetta delivered a donation to Angels Over Forsyth in Cumming. Students, parents and teachers collected gifts, including blankets, diapers, clothes, shoes and toys, to fulfill the needs and wishes of more than 20 foster care children in Forsyth County. Following the delivery, students met with representatives from Angels Over Forsyth to learn how their contributions will help children in need.
Angels Over Forsyth is a community-driven volunteer program that provides holiday gifts for at-risk children placed with non-parental caregivers, including relative care and foster care, or otherwise removed from their family by the Department of Children and Family Services.
