Churches Hosting Fundraiser To Support Foster Kids
North Point Ministries across metro Atlanta are uniting to collect pajamas for kids in foster care.
ALPHARETTA, GA — Daylight saving time starts this Sunday, and seven Atlanta-area North Point Ministries churches have families covered. They also hope to help hundreds of kids in foster care. The churches are encouraging parents to skip the hassle of getting everyone dressed, and bring their children to church in their pajamas while also donating new pajamas for kids in foster care.
There are 11,000 children in foster care in Georgia, and the journey of a child in foster care can be abrupt and very stressful. However, necessities, like pajamas, can help bring comfort to this journey.
“Losing an hour can be tough, but we’re turning the morning into a pajama party. We hope kids have fun wearing pajamas and giving pajamas to help children in foster care,” said Amy Ostrander, who leads children experiences at North Point Community Church.
