City’s Tree Lighting and Other Festivities Return to Bring Community Together

Alpharetta will once again host an annual tree lighting to kick-off the city’s Season of Celebration! Residents and visitors are invited to share in the magic of the season at this year’s Season of Celebration, held on the first three Fridays in Downtown Alpharetta. Among other festive activities hosted throughout the month, the annual tree lighting returns on Friday, Dec. 3 on the Town Green where a new 60-foot tree, courtesy of  Evans General Contracting, will be lit at 6:30pm by Alpharetta’s Mayor, Jim Gilvin.

The Season of Celebration events will be held from 5-9pm in Downtown Alpharetta on December 3, 10 and 17 and will feature a variety of fun, family-friendly activities including snow flurries, photos with Santa, family photo opportunities, fire pits courtesy of Cutting Edge Firewood, holiday movies, pop-up caroling and more! You just never know what you might find around the corner including the big man himself…SANTA!

Friday, December 3 also marks the kick-off of the city’s Holiday Food Drive benefitting North Fulton Community Charities. “Alpharetta’s Season of Celebration kicks off a time filled with hope and joy when our community comes together,” said Jim Gilvin, City of Alpharetta Mayor. “We are excited for the third annual holiday food drive and to work together to help our neighbors in need.”

 

This year’s Holiday Food Drive will run Friday, December 3 through Friday, December 17, 2021. Non-perishable donations can be dropped off at any of the seven traditional drop-off locations or one of the four outdoor collection trees around downtown Alpharetta. SANTA’S MAILBOX

Santa’s elves will install a special mailbox at the Alpharetta Community Center for children to mail their letters to Santa. Children can drop off their letters Nov 29-Dec11 and Santa will respond to all letters he receives. Letters need to include first name, last name, age, address, and a wish list.

 

 

 

Free parking is available throughout Downtown Alpharetta including the City Hall Parking Deck located at 2 Park Plaza, the parking deck at 92 Milton Ave., and the parking lot at 45 Roswell St.
