City Of Alpharetta: Road Closures To Impact Downtown Alpharetta October 8 Thru 10

Alpharetta’s two-day music festival, Wire and Wood, will bring several road closures along with performances by 30 singer/songwriters to Downtown Alpharetta this weekend.  Road closures will start impacting roads as early as 9:00 AM on Friday, October 8 and remain in effect until as late as 4:00 AM on Sunday.

Motorists are advised of the following closures:

3:00 AM on Friday, October 8 – 4:00 AM on Sunday, October 10

• * South Broad Street
• * Market Street between South Broad Street to Parking Deck entrance
•  

9:00 AM on Friday, October 8 – 4:00 AM on Sunday, October 10

• * Commerce Street
• * North Broad Street
• * Market Street between Academy Street and South Broad Street
• * Canton Street between Old Canton Street and Milton Avenue
• * Milton Avenue between Roswell/Canton Street and the 90 Milton Avenue parking deck

2:00 PM on Friday, October 8 – 4:00 AM on Sunday, October 10

• * Milton Avenue between State Route 9/Main Street and Roswell/Canton Street
• * Roswell Street between Old Roswell Street and Milton Avenue
• * Old Roswell Street between Milton Avenue and 37 Old Roswell Street

Motorists who are traveling to destinations not located in Downtown Alpharetta are strongly urged to avoid the area, as road closures and heavy pedestrian activity related to the Wire and Wood Music Festival will result in heavy traffic congestion and significant travel delays throughout the weekend.
