Classes Allow Adults, Children To Explore Their Creative Side
Starting this week, the Alpharetta Arts Center at Crabapple with host a series of drawing, photography and art workshops.

Residents can explore their creative side this month with a series of art programs and workshops offered by the Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department through the Alpharetta Arts Center at Crabapple.
Young Rembrandts Drawing is an exciting new series of eight-week classes for budding artists, ages 6-10:

- Cartoon Class – develop young cartooning skills by learning to draw exaggerated facial features, incorporate movement or sound effects, and transform ordinary objects and animals into silly cartoon characters. Starts Tuesday, April 16;
- Drawing for Home Schoolers – explore portraits, landscapes, still-life compositions, graphics and art history, along with creating unique works of art through shading, perspective, patterns and color. Starts Friday, April 17

- Watercolor Landscape – Thursday, April 16 and 23
- Portrait Study – Saturday. April 25
Wheel Thrown Pottery is designed for beginners, with both youth and adult sessions offered. Learn to form decorative and functional pieces of pottery using the wheel. Next six-week sessions start Thursday, April 23.
Photography (for adults) and Camera Fun (youth 9-13) are led by instructor Gittel Price, who shows the best ways to capture life’s special moments and create photographic art.
The next six-week sessions start Wednesday, April 22.
