Code Enforcement Checked Wednesday At Birmingham Crossroads
Code Enforcement Enhancement Program will conduct checks on Milton commercial areas the next few weeks, starting at Birmingham Crossroads.
MILTON, GA — The City of Milton is regularly and consistently assessing both residential and commercial property for code adherence, to ensure citizens keep Milton as beautiful as possible.
Code enforcement addresses a wide range of city issues affecting the environment, health, safety, property values and general well-being. Community preservation and improvement is a necessity to prevent community deterioration. To help keep Milton beautiful, the city is reminding all residents and businesses to keep two city codes in mind as part of their regular maintenance, relating to grass/weeds, and signage.
Grass/weeds
Exterior premises must be kept in clean, safe and sanitary condition. In both developed and undeveloped lots in platted subdivisions, exterior property shall be maintained free from weeds or plant growth in excess of 10 inches. All noxious weeds are prohibited. The term "weeds" means all grasses, annual plants and vegetation, other than trees or shrubs. The term "weeds" does not include cultivated flowers and gardens.
