Crate & Barrel, Colletta, exhale Coming To Avalon

Antico Pizza and Caffe Gio are among the two places that have already opened in the $600 million development in Alpharetta.

The new year will soon bring several new tenants to Avalon, the $600 million mixed-used development along Old Milton Parkway in Alpharetta.

Anthropologie, Antico Pizza and Caffe Gio recently opened to shoppers, joining the lineup of 50 retailers and 11 restaurants that opened Oct. 30.

“We are thrilled to welcome the newest tenants to Avalon on the heels of an exceptionally successful Grand Opening,” said Mark Toro, North American Properties (NAP) managing partner. “More than a dozen of our retailers and restaurants set opening day records and 80 percent reported holiday sales ahead of plan, many more than doubling their projections.”

Colletta, exhale and Crate & Barrel will all be open by the end of February, followed by Marmi, Boston Proper, Piedmont Nails, Johnny Was, LottaFrutta and Bonobos opening in the first half of 2015.

  • exhale, Feb. 2: This boutique barre/yoga/fitness studio elevates the exercise experience at Avalon with award-winning Core Fusin programs, offering a variety of classes to suit every fitness level. The 1,400-square-foot studio features magnificent dark wood floors, dramatic natural lighting, high ceilings and mirrors. Avalon is exhale’s second Atlanta location, alongside its successful flagship location in Midtown.
  • Colletta, Feb. 5: Located adjacent to its sister restaurant, Oak Steakhouse, Colletta is a modern Italian restaurant and Steve Palmer’s newest endeavor. Led by Chef Michael Perez, Colletta, meaning collection in Italian, will present new interpretations of Italian cuisine using fresh and locally sourced ingredients. Surrounded by white brick, butcher tables and an open kitchen, diners may order a la carte or family style. Colletta’s cuisine draws influence largely from northern Italy and reflects Perez’s novel interpretations of Italian food.
  • Crate & Barrel, Feb. 12: A company that began in 1962 with a dream, one employee and no cash register has grown to become a favorite furniture and home décor store with thoughtful, enriching merchandise.

“2015 promises a year full of new tenant openings and progress on phase II of Avalon,” said Ron Pfohl, NAP director of leasing. “We’re excited to build on Avalon’s momentum and continue to create a special place for the North Fulton community.”

Slated for completion in October 2016, Phase II of Avalon will encompass an additional 80,000 square feet of retail, 550,000 square feet of office, 276 luxury rentals, a 325-key full service hotel and a conference center. NAP has secured commitments from Brooks Brothers and Lilly Pulitzer, who will be joined by 12 more retailers and three restaurants in Phase II.
