Former Daycare Owner Found Not Guilty in Boy's Death: Report

ALPHARETTA, GA -- A former daycare owner charged with murder in the death of a Roswell boy at her Alpharetta daycare has been acquitted of all charges.
A Fulton County jury on Friday returned the not guilty verdicts on second degree and cruelty to children charges in the case against Janna V. Thompson, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
WSB-TV reports that the jury returned the verdict after four hours of deliberations.

Max Stephens, 3, was found unresponsive in July 2014 at Thompson's residential daycare on Shady Grove Lane in Alpharetta.
Police told Patch that Max, who lived in Roswell with parents Jeffrey and Heidi Stephens, accidentally hanged himself on a piece of twine attached to a slide at the daycare.
