Developer Wants To Build 77 Townhomes in Milton
Bajun American Properties has submitted a rezoning application that will be considered next week by the city's Planning Commission.

A developer has requested the city of Milton rezone land to accommodate its plans to build 77 townhomes.
Bajun American Properties has petitioned the city to rezone 10.17 acres of land at 3501 Bethany Bend from agricultural to townhouse for its project.

The company is also requesting the city grant a variance to reduce the perimeter side and perimeter rear setbacks on the property. The property is located near the intersection of Bethany Bend and Strickland Road.
The Milton Planning Commission will consider the case during its meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19. The case will move to the City Council to consider at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15.

Additionally, Lauren Dillon is also asking Milton to allow a conditional use permit to operate an artist studio within an existing building and a variance to also allow outside storage. That property sits at 14250 Birmingham Highway. The Planning Commission will take up that case at 7 p.m. Jan. 28, 2015. The City Council will consider the request at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015.
