🌱 Doobie Brothers Postpone In Alpharetta + Health Equity Partnership

  1. The Doobie Brothers have postponed multiple upcoming shows, including tonight's scheduled performance in Alpharetta, after several touring party members tested positive for COVID-19. This is the second time in the last year that the band has postponed performances due to COVID cases among tour personnel. Yesterday, the Alpharetta-based Hispanic Health Coalition of Georgia announced the launch of a partnership with HIA Technologies, Inc. that will help promote health equity among the state's underserved communities. According to a press release, the Coalition and HIA have created an interactive education platform called HIA TOPICS, that will "reduce misinformation, increase engagement, and improve health literacy" among socio-economically challenged populations, particularly Georgia's Hispanic and Latino community. "By partnering with HIA, [we] can now deliver a library of healthcare topics, sourced from known and respected subject matter experts to the Hispanic/Latino community," said Shirley E.   3. The US Golf Association has announced a seven-tournament lineup to round out its 2022 Senior Amateur Schedule. One tournament will be happening right here in Alpharetta next month. The US Super Senior, Legends, & Super Legends National Championship will be taking place at the Golf Club of Georgia's Lakeside Course on Jul. 5 through 7.
