Driver Injured When Car Leaves Road, Lands In Embankment

MILTON, GA -- A single-vehicle accident sent one motorist to the hospital early Thursday afternoon in Milton.

The crash was reported on S.R. 140/Arnold Mill Road at the Cherokee/Fulton county line around noon June 23.

Milton police spokesperson Lt. Charles Barstow said the vehicle ran off the road and down an embankment along the highway.

The male driver was the only person inside the vehicle, and he was transported to North Fulton Hospital with "moderate injuries," Barstow added.

It took crews about two hours to reopen the highway due to difficulties with removing the vehicle, the lieutenant said.
