The Eagles ran one of their best team races of the season in a very strong field of schools from both Florida & Georgia to earn a top-10 team finish. Milton (8th-304 pts) beat back 28 schools and finished as the 5th GA Class 7A squad. Carrollton (1st-122 pts), region foe Lambert (2nd-137 pts) & Jacksonville Florida’s Bolles School (3rd-140 pts) led the 36-team field. A historic run by senior co-captain Cory Chambers (15th-15:23) led the Eagles with Chambers now the 3rd fastest performer in school history. Chambers started with the lead pack and continued with them the entire race. Backing up the effort by Chambers were the all-time bests from sophomore Justin Sevel (63rd-16:11), junior Zach Patell (78th-16:20), junior Danny Murray (99th-16:31) seniors Pearson Gillam (104th-16:34), captain Oliver Stone (117th-16:39), Keller Wilson (149th-16:55), Jack Rea (150th-16:56) & Brandon Sevel (253rd-17:58).

Varsity Girls

Milton (7th-254 pts) topped 21 scoring schools in their best team race of the season and had their best team average time. Every Lady Eagle ran to either a season personal best or all-time personal best! Defending state 7A champions Marietta (1st-73 pts) dominated the field with Florida schools Bolles (2nd-93 pts) & Bucholz (3rd-126 pts) following. Milton surprised many schools with the return of senior captain Farrah Frith (41st-19:20) running her first race of the season since recovering from an injury sustained in June. Frith’s all-time best led a close group of Lady Eagle finishers to help lead Milton by many teams that had beaten the Lady Eagles earlier this season. Fellow senior Sydney Anderson (43rd-19:24) & junior Calista Cacciatore (61st-19:48) ran to all-time bests with junior Ella Grace Malcom (63rd-19:51) running a season’s best. Also scoring for Milton was junior Emerson Armistead (114th-20:44). Senior Emmaline Kelley (124th-20:53), sophomores Macy Schadt (167th-21:30) & Ivy Rindt (176th-21:38) & senior captain Gabby Beckman (211th-22:12) ran to either all-time or seasons bests.

JV Boys

The Eagles took down 24 schools in winning the team race! Milton (1st-57 pts) knocked off strong programs from Westminster (2nd-74 pts) & Mill Creek (3rd-109 pts) on their way to the overall team title!

Running all-time personal bests & leading the Eagles to the team win were senior Andrew Ramsey (10th-17:36), junior Eric Rasmituth (13th-17:38), senior Ethan Hagel (15th-17:44), junior Jayson Faupel (16th-17:47), junior Chris Murray (18th-17:52) and juniors Martin Sand (23rd-17:59) & Luke Erbey (27th-18:04).

JV Girls

The Lady Eagles knocked-off 20 teams on their way to a top-5 finish. Milton (5th-150 pts) trailed Bolles (1st-22 pts), Westminster (2nd-94 pts), North Gwinnett (3rd-124 pts) & Brookwood (4th-139 pts). Sophomore Grace Lochman (16th-22:14) & junior Ashley Murray (17th-22:15) led the Lady Eagle scorers along with senior Ella Butler (32nd-22:45) running a season’s best, sophomore Ella Franke (36th-22:52), freshman Hollis Thompson (40th-22:55) & Alyssa Monje (53rd-23:09) all running lifetime bests!
