ABOUT HONK:

Meet the show that beat The Lion King out of the Olivier award (the British equivalent to the Tony Award)! Honk! is a contemporary retelling of Hans Christian Andersen's classic story, "The Ugly Duckling" and features a Joseph/Dreamcoat-like score that people everywhere will love!

SHOW DATES:

2 weekends - November 5, 6, 7 and 12, 13, 14

Junior Theatre Festival
A 20 minute excerpt of this production will compete in the “Junior Theatre Festival.” The Junior Theatre Festival (JTF) is the largest event for children’s musical theatre in the United States, and is held in Atlanta on MLK, Jr. weekend; January 14 – 15, 2012. It includes a competition, workshops, and is capped off with a show at the Fox Theatre. Past special guests have included Zac Efron, Seth Rudetzky, Jeannine Tesori and Stephen Schwartz. NOTE:  If you are cast in a Principal role you MUST be available to participate in the Junior Theatre Festival. No exceptions. Rehearsals for JTF will be held in December/January. There is an additional fee to participate in JTF of approximately $175 (per child and per adult attending). This fee will be due around November.

AUDITION INFORMATION

• Open to ages 7-17; New performers welcomed!
• Auditions will be held on August 27, 2 pm - 6 pm
  Callbacks if needed, August 28, 2 pm - 4 pm

• Come prepared with 18 bars of a musical theatre selection with CD accompaniment
• Be dressed for a dance audition; bring tap shoes if you have them
• Please bring resume and headshot, if applicable
• Production fee is $185, if cast
