The Rita Evonne Fraiser (REF) Foundation, an organization that provides scholastic assistance to students studying Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) will host their first annual golf tournament and fundraiser Thursday, October 11, 2012.
Set at the Trophy Club of Atlanta, the golf tournament is designed to not only bring together some of the area’s best golfers but also to raise money to support economically disadvantaged youth interested in the STEM fields across the country.
Come and enjoy golfing one of metro Atlanta's top courses, participate in contests to win prizes and stay for the bbq following the day's activities.

The goals of the REF Foundation include:
- Provide financial assistance to students majoring in Engineering, Mathematics, Science or Technology
- Establish mentoring programs that foster leadership skills
- Encourage students to strive for high scholastic and ethical standards in life and technical fields
- Assist schools in funding their Math and Science programs
- Provide opportunities for students to participate in a variety of cultural experiences promoting their field of study
- Create opportunities for corporations and colleges to connect with qualified individuals through internships, volunteerism, and/or mentoring programs
