Learn how to grow your own shiitake mushrooms. Participants learn about mushroom growth, selection of spawn, and proper care of shiitake logs. Each participant will take home one 4-foot log, which he/she will inoculate during the workshop. Each log should be able to produce shiitake mushrooms several times a year for 2-3 years or until the log has decomposed. Cost is $55. Class space is limited.
