Young Volunteer Orientation is held most Thursdays during the year from 4:30-5:30 p.m. for **12-, 13- and 14-year-olds. ** Be sure to check the Libraries website for details and an application.
During the orientation, students learn how to sort and shelve juvenile picture books. Young volunteers may volunteer two or fewer hours per day. Hours for volunteering are set by the Children's Department staff; after the orientation, a parent or student must call in advance each time to reserve a time to volunteer. The Library welcomes all young volunteers!
