Hundreds of Harry Potter fans, many dressed as their favorite Hogwarts characters, flocked to each of the local theaters for the midnight Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part II .

At Regal Cinemas on Medlock Bridge Road, some had arrived as early as 5 p.m. Thursday to ensure that they would get good seats for the opening of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2, the last in the franchise.

Fans dressed up at the AMC Avenue Forsyth 12 Theatres off exit 13 of GA 400. The theater officially inaugurated its new IMAX 3D screen, which, of course, opened with Harry Potter in 3D.
