Fire Displaces 12 Residents In Milton

Milton, GA -- A single family home suffered heavy damage from a fire Thursday evening in Milton.

Milton Fire Rescue crews responded to the fire along S.R. 9 just south of Club Creek Drive around 7:50 p.m. Jan. 14.
Crews arrived on the scene soon after and began fighting the blaze. The house suffered “heavy fire damage” to its interior, said Deputy Fire Chief Mark Stephens.

Stephens added 12 people were displaced by the fire, and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation, Stephens said.
