Fire Guts Home in Alpharetta
The fire, which was reported Friday afternoon on Gransley Court, became "fully involved" within minutes, officials say.
ALPHARETTA, GA -- An Alpharetta home is a total loss after a Friday afternoon fire raged in the northern part of the city.
The fire destroyed the home on Gransley Court, which sits north of Mayfield Road and west of Providence Road.
Fortunately, no one was home when the multiple-alarm fire was reported, said Alpharetta Department of Public Safety George Gordon.

Gordon added a witness ported hearing an explosion before the fire was ignited, but that has not been confirmed.
