Free Seminar: Coping with Holiday Depression

The holidays can impact friends and family who suffer from depression. Beat the blues and learn how to put "happy" back in the holidays.

Do you or someone you care about suffer from depression? Does the pressure of the holidays make you feel sad or blue when you “should’ be happy?

The Institute for Advanced Medical Research and the Alpharetta YMCA are presenting a free community education seminar on coping with holiday depression on Tuesday, December 16th at 7pm.

Learn how the holidays can impact those who suffer from depression and what to do about it. Dr. Sambunaris will address how to recognize symptoms of depression and offer strategies to cope with your own depression or that of a loved one. Attendees will learn about recent advances in depression research and new options for treatment.

This exclusive seminar will feature speaker Dr. Angelo Sambunaris, Medical Director of the Institute for Advanced Medical Research in Alpharetta. Dr. Sambunaris, a former fellow at theNational Institute of Mental Health, has been helping patients with depression and conducting research into advanced treatment options for over 20 years.
