Fulton Golden Games Kick Off April 26 In Milton

MILTON, GA -- Area seniors are once again invited to join the fun by attending or participating in the 23rd Annual Fulton Golden Games.

This historic community event offers active senior adults the opportunity for fellowship and fun activities with fellow Fulton County seniors -- not to mention some good, old fashioned competition.

This year's games, beginning at the end of April and held throughout May, are open to area adults 50 and older. Pre-registration has closed; however, participants may register the day of the event. The registration cost is $20 and includes an opening day picnic lunch and access to Golden Game events during the month.

T-shirt supplies are limited and only those who pre-registered are guaranteed an event t-shirt. Seniors may take part in as many events as they would like.

Opening ceremonies will begin at 10 a.m. April 26 at Bell Memorial Park in Milton. Track and field events, including a one-mile walk and run, half-mile walk, flying disc throw, discus and shot-put throw, bocce toss, ladder golf, football throw and more begin after the ceremony.

Throughout the month of May, players can take part in various tournaments, including bridge, pickle ball, tennis, canasta and poker, swimming events, a nature hike, rock climbing, a biathlon, table tennis, and much more!

A luncheon and awards ceremony will be held Thursday, May 25 at the Harriett G. Darnell Senior Multipurpose Facility located at 677 Fairburn Road NW in Atlanta.
