Fund Created To Help Kids Of Woman Killed By Flying Wheel
A GoFundMe account has been created to benefit the daughters of Julieanna Shedrawy, who died Oct. 19 on GA-400 in Sandy Springs.

ALPHARETTA, GA -- The community is rallying around the family of an Alpharetta woman who died Thursday morning in a freak accident along S.R. 400 in Sandy Springs. A GoFundMe account has been created to help the children of Julieanna Shedrawy, who died Thursday morning when a wheel from a truck detached from the vehicle, bounced over the median and struck her car.
The college fund for the children, Madison and Mikayla Shedrawy, seeks to raise $50,000 and has brought in a little more than $4,100 so far.
"Julieanna's daughters were her life," said account creator Niki Oginz. "Please join us in coming together to ensure that Madison and Mikayla are able to follow their dreams and further their education like Jules would have wanted."

A preliminary investigation indicates the left rear wheel from a truck traveling northbound detached from the vehicle and flew over the median wall, Sandy Springs police spokesperson Sgt. Sam Worsham previously told Patch.

The wheel, which still had its tire attached, struck a Nissan passenger car driven by the 49-year-old married mother of two. Shedrawy resident was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision and no other vehicles were involved in the crash, Sgt. Worsham added.
Traffic investigators have determined the wheel came off the truck due to a "mechanical failure," and no charges have been filed at this time, police note.
