Furkids Pet of the Week

Katie was no easy catch for a Furkids volunteer. Katie was a terrified little stray and it was quite a feat to get her to the shelter. Now, she is growing more trusting every day. She gets alone with other dogs and, with her favorite play pals, she is quite energetic! She shares food or toys nicely and walks well on a lead. Dainty Katie is still very shy but she has shown that she desperately wants to love and be loved. She loves to snuggle with a human and relax into a gentle ear massage. A quiet home with gentle adults or older children would be the perfect recipe for Katie's forever home. She is leery of strangers, but I think that is pretty normal since she was on her own for so long. A playful doggie companion to show her the ropes would be the icing on the cake!
