Why Go?: The yearly Memorial Day commemoration will again be held at Milton's City Hall and feature a flyover, invocation, presentation of colors, call to colors, songs, a Keynote Speaker, a roll call of deceased veterans, and a benediction.

Why: From churches to Victorian houses, get to know the heritage of our buildings local to Johns Creek. Autrey Mills opens this exhibit to the public every Saturday from 11-2.

Why Go? You are invited to be a special guest at the annual Memorial Day Weekend festivities at First Baptist Cumming, otherwise known as “Brother Bob’s BBQ.” This fun-filled event promises to be an exciting time for children and adults alike. There will be face painting, children’s inflatable’s, hay rides, and a dunk tank. Dinner will include my famous barbeque chicken with all the trimmings.

Why Go?: Celebrate Memorial Day with up to 6,000 other citizens in downtown Roswell. Recognized as the largest Memorial Day Ceremony in Georgia this is a non-political, non-commercial ceremony honoring veterans and the sacrifices they made in protecting our freedom.

Why Go?; Enjoy a performance by Southern Winds. Southern Winds is a community of amateur musicians at least 50 years old who play for fun. The Southern Winds is a concert band for older adults. Most band members were active in their school music groups and in some cases, military bands.
