Gift Giveback Program Benefits The Drake House
Avalon and Northside Hospital are teaming up for the initiative to benefit the nonprofit that supports homeless women and children.

ALPHARETTA, GA -- In the spirit of giving, Avalon has launched the second annual gift giveback program in partnership with Northside Hospital to benefit The Drake House, a local non-profit organization that supports homeless women and children.
The campaign, which officially launched on Nov. 20, will run through Jan. 21, 2018.
“We are excited to partner with both Avalon and Northside Hospital again this year,” said Holly York, director of development at The Drake House. “The partnership brings awareness to those in need. Due to the generosity of our North Fulton community, it also helps us serve an increasing number of homeless mothers and children.”

Throughout the holiday season and early into 2018, guests at Avalon are encouraged to give back to their local community by bringing holiday gifts to the mixed-use community that will be donated to The Drake House. A wish list alongside a large gift box has been placed at Concierge for guests to drop off presents during operating hours. By giving back to The Drake House, guests will not only help North Fulton families in need, but will receive $3 off an Avalon on Ice ticket for that day.
The Alpharetta community is also invited to lace up their skates at Avalon on Ice for a special skate night from 3-10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27 where 10 percent of sales from the event will be donated to The Drake House. Additionally, Avalon will host a complimentary skate night for families of The Drake House to enjoy the rink. Guests can also make monetary donations to the organization here.

“Through Avalon's giveback initiative, we can give extra support and comfort during this holiday season to these moms and their children at The Drake House,” said Freda Hardage, Northside Hospital Foundation director. “It is such a wonderful program and we are excited to be working with both of these great community partners and adding some holiday cheer.”
For the gift giveback, toys, books, games, craft supplies, clothing, and household items are greatly appreciated. Avalon has also selected The Drake House as the beneficiary to receive the change thrown into Avalon’s grand fountain for the months of November and December.
“Avalon is grateful to partner with Northside Hospital for another unforgettable gift giveback season and we urge the Alpharetta community to support our fellow neighbors during this special time of year,” said Carla Cox, director of marketing at Avalon. “The Drake House empowers women and children to get back on their feet and we are thankful to be a part of supporting the organization’s mission and giving them a magical holiday season.”
