Gwinnett Tech To Break Ground on Alpharetta Campus
The groundbreaking will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18 on the campus site at Old Milton Parkway and S.R. 400.

Gwinnett Technical College next week will break ground on its new north Fulton campus.
The groundbreaking is set for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 2875 Old Milton Parkway in Alpharetta.
Those in attendance of the groundbreaking include Gwinnett Technical College President Dr. D. Glen Cannon; Nancy Juneau, chair of the Gwinnett Technical College Board of Directors; Technical College System of Georgia Commissioner Ron Jackson; Georgia State Senator Brandon Beach of Alpharetta; Georgia House Speaker Pro-Tem Jan Jones; Alpharetta Mayor David Belle Isle; and Michael Sullivan of the Technical College System of Georgia’s State Board.

The new campus in north Fulton will add college credit classes to the college’s offerings in the county. The first campus building, one of three planned, is three stories with approximately 95,000 square feet and will include classrooms, labs and administrative space.
When built out, it’s anticipated the campus could serve 10,000 students. Gwinnett Tech has been serving north Fulton since 2010 and now offers continuing education, adult education and dual enrollment for high school students.

Classes are projected to start in north Fulton in January 2016.
