"Each of these companies represents the kind of leading-edge technology and innovation that is propelling health IT forward, both in Atlanta and across the globe," says David Hartnett, Vice President of Economic Development, Bioscience-Health IT, at the Metro Atlanta Chamber, a founding partner of the Summit.

"Georgia is at the forefront of consumer digital health, with more than 225 health IT companies based in the state," says Tino Mantella, president and CEO of the Technology Association of Georgia, also a founding partner of the Summit through its Health Society.

The impact of innovation on healthcare continues to be a cornerstone of the Summit, which will focus on the topic not only through the Intel Innovation Award, but also through a student award for health IT innovation and a panel discussion on "Disruptive Technologies in Healthcare." This session will review innovative technologies in different industries, and consider how they may be applicable to healthcare in terms of fulfilling Healthcare Reform Act requirements.
