Help Needed To Catch Injured Turkey In Milton
The City of Milton, along with Atlanta Wild Animal Rescue Effort, is asking the community to help find a turkey they think is injured.

MILTON, GA -- The City of Milton is asking the public to help find a wild turkey they believe is injured.
The city posted on its Facebook page they are trying to catch a turkey, affectionately named Batesville Betty. The city said the turkey is one of Milton’s "wonderful wildlife" that frequently crosses the Birmingham Highway roundabout near Batesville.
"Our staff and friends from Family Tree Animal Clinic and Rock For Rescues think this turkey is injured," the city wrote. "Thankfully, our new friends at Atlanta Wild Animal Rescue Effort (AWARE) are going to help us with assessing, rehabbing and returning 'Betty' to Milton."

Call Milton Communicatons at 678-242-2530 if you see Batesville Betty in the north Milton area. The city said its "turkey team" is on standby.
The city joked, "Where else can you get wildlife, fine dining, award-winning schools and a community that rocks?"
