Hobby Lobby Replacing Former Alpharetta Babies 'R' Us Store

Hobby Lobby will be located in North Point Market Center off of North Point Parkway, and will be 50,275 square feet.

ALPHARETTA, GA — The former Babies"R"Us off North Point Parkway that sat vacant for some time will soon come back to life as a new Hobby Lobby.

Hobby Lobby has executed two new leases in empty Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us locations in greater Atlanta, according to SRS Real Estate Partners.

The first location is in the North Point Market Center off of North Point Parkway in Alpharetta. This location is 50,275 square feet of space.

The second location, the former Toys R Us/Babies R Us in the Akers Mill Shopping Center off Cobb Parkway in Atlanta, will consist of 58,907 square feet.

Hobby Lobby, the world’s largest privately-owned arts and crafts retailer, has seen significant growth in 2018 after opening 63 new stores, including 12 relocations, in 2017. Hobby Lobby has more than 800 stores across the nation offering more than 70,000 crafting and home decor products, SRS Real Estate Partners said.

“These locations are a perfect fit for Hobby Lobby, strengthening their presence in the Atlanta market and making them the dominant retailer in Atlanta in the arts and crafts, framing and home accents category," Steve Gunning, senior vice president in the Atlanta office said. "We were fortunate that these excellent locations became available and the landlords recognized the value that Hobby Lobby will bring to their centers."

Gunning represents the tenant, Hobby Lobby. The landlord for Akers Mill Square was represented by Kathy Ward Darin with Olshan Properties. The Landlord for North Point Market Center was represented by Tosh Wolfe and Whitney Spangler with Colliers International Atlanta
