#HomeForTheHolidays: Stolen Gateway Sign Returned In Milton

City officials say the sign was discovered Wednesday afternoon at Broadwell Pavilion.

MILTON, GA -- Weeks after pleading with the public to help locate a gateway sign that was stolen from Broadwell Pavilion, the city of Milton this week got its wish.

The sign was discovered under Broadwell Pavilion Wednesday afternoon, city spokesperson Shannon Ferguson said.

The city told its audiences earlier this month that the sign, which reads "Welcome to the City of Milton," vanished from the fence along Broadwell Road in front of the pavilion at 12615 Broadwell Road.

"Look what made it #HomeForTheHolidays," the city said Wednesday on its Facebook page. "Our Broadwell Road welcome sign was returned!"

According to the city, the sign, one of two used by the city, costs between $300 and $350 for the city to install. The larger gateway signs, such as the version on S.R. 9 at Webb Road, costs around $4,000.
