How Much Georgia Households Make Per Year: New Census Report
New town-by-town data shows how far above or below your Georgia community is to the state median; see top 200 towns.
MILTON, GA — For those who can never stop comparing, the Census released an early Christmas gift. The 2013-2017 American Community Survey issued by the Census last week disclosed a mountain of data, including how much household income is reported in each Georgia community.
The Peach State, as a whole, is less well off than much of the country. The statewide median household income is $52,977, less than the nationwide median of $57,652. But it was an increase compared to the previous four-year period, when Georgia households brought home $49,604.
You can see the list of the top 200 communities' median household incomes below. The Census designated place of Dewy Rose topped the list of towns and census designated places with a median household income of more than $250,000. But several Atlanta area suburbs rank high on the list below.
