ICYMI: Bulky Trash Amnesty Day on May 13 in Milton, Roswell
Roswell and Milton residents can drop off large, unwanted items at no charge Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.

ROSWELL, GA -- On Saturday, you can finally get rid of that old mattress and other pieces of furniture taking up space in your garage or basement, as the cities of Roswell and Milton will host its popular Bulky Trash Amnesty Day on Saturday.
The event, held in conjunction with Keep Roswell Beautiful, will take place from 8 a.m. to noon May 13, and allows residents to clean out their garages, basements and attics and dispose of unwanted, large items at no cost.
Roswell and Milton residents can drop off items at Roswell's Public Works Division at 1810 Hembree Road.

- Please note: This event is NOT held at the Roswell Recycling Center.
Proof of residency is required to participate, and utility bills are the preferred method. Roswell residents with the window decal do not need any other form of identification.
This event has become very popular, so please expect delays. Some of the items that will be accepted are:

- Mattresses and box springs
- Tires - must be off the rim, automobile tires only; limit 4 per car
- Sofas
- Tables
- Refrigerators
- Chairs
- Washers and dryers
- Electronics (no televisions or monitors)
- Deactivated cell phones
The following items will not be accepted:
- Paint
- Televisions and monitors
- Household hazardous waste
- Any fluids including motor oil and anti-freeze
- Household batteries
- Construction and demolition materials
- Yard waste
Materials will only be accepted at the site on the day of the event and only during the hours of 8 a.m. to noon. Please note that the line will be cut off at noon.
