Jackson Healthcare Named 'Best Workplace In Health Care': Fortune
Of the 35 healthcare companies on Fortune's list, Jackson Healthcare was one of two in Georgia, and ranked ninth on the list.
ALPHARETTA, GA -- Jackson Healthcare, a family of highly-specialized healthcare staffing, search and technology companies, has been named to Fortune’s newly-published “Best Workplaces in Health Care and Biopharma” list. This is the second consecutive year that the company has made the list.
Best Workplaces lists are compiled by research and consulting firm Great Place to Work and Fortune, and for this 2019 ranking, involved the analysis of input from nearly 730,000 U.S.-based employees working in the healthcare and biopharma sectors. The majority of the evaluation, which consists of more than 60 questions, was based on what employees said about their experiences when it comes to trust in their companies and the ability to reach their full potential, regardless of job function. The remaining 15 percent of the ranking was based on an assessment of employees’ daily experiences in the areas of innovation and company values, and the company leadership’s ability to ensure that those experiences are consistent for all employees.
“The strong and unique culture that we have here at Jackson Healthcare is purposeful. Our associates work hard every day to fulfill our mission of improving the delivery of patient care and the lives of everyone we touch,” Shane Jackson, president of Jackson Healthcare and author of the book Fostering Culture: A Leader’s Guide to Purposefully Shaping Culture, said in a release. “We are delighted that Fortune has once again named us a Best Workplace and recognizes what we experience daily—that Jackson Healthcare is very special place to work.”

Jackson Healthcare recently completed a $100 million expansion of its corporate campus, featuring a new 8-story office tower and 3-story amenities building. The amenities facility houses a state-of-the-art fitness and wellness center that houses numerous associate benefits such as an indoor pool, two levels of cardio and strength equipment, in-person and virtual fitness classes, a spray-tanning studio, massage and chiropractic services, and forthcoming offerings that will
include a hair salon with blow dry bar and nail services. Within the space, there also are two restaurants that offer healthy, locally-sourced, company-subsidized meals, as well as a coffee and smoothie bar.
In addition to the new structures, the existing buildings on the company’s campus are undergoing significant renovations.
The 5-story office tower will feature new collaboration and workspaces, updates to the company’s third on-campus dining facility, an expansion to its on-site medical clinic and more. Another building on campus will be home to Jackson Healthcare’s new childcare and development center, AlleGro. This will add to the company’s already extensive list of associate benefits. Opening in the Fall of 2019, AlleGro will provide high-quality childcare and early education programs for infant, toddler, preschool and pre-K aged children of Jackson Healthcare associates. The campus also houses LoveLifts Village, which provides coworking and dedicated office space for local non-profit organizations.
LoveLifts Village is part of the company’s LoveLifts community impact platform that focuses on access to healthcare and children’s wellbeing. This initiative is activated across the Jackson Healthcare company ecosystem through associate volunteerism, business mobilization, purpose partnerships and corporate giving that includes matching funds for associates who donate time and/or money to their favorite causes.
