Manning Oaks ES Collects Pajamas For Students In Need

From Manning Oaks School: Mrs. Akin’s 2nd grade class, along with the help of students in the National Elementary Honor Society, partnered up with Scholastic Books to collect pajamas for students in need during the first week of December as a part of their Pajama Program. The Pajama Pro- gram, a national nonprofit organization, promotes and supports a comforting bedtime routine for children affected by instability to help them thrive. The program was founded in 2001 and has deliv- ered more than 6 million good nights for good days. Manning Oaks Elementary students were able to collect 376 brand new pairs of pajamas! Scholastic Books will match the donation with a book for each of these children to ensure they have a good nights sleep!
