Manning Oaks Students Show Gains in Math, Reading Scores

The fifth-grade students at the school in Alpharetta took the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills at the beginning of the 2014-15 school year.

The results are in for the fifth grade Fulton County students who took the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills, or ITBS, at the beginning of the school year.

Manning Oaks Elementary School fifth graders made the largest gain in the entire county for math and second largest gain for reading and social studies, the school said in a press release.

Also, these same students made the fourth largest gain in science.

“I am so proud of our students’ effort, our teacher’s preparation and delivery of instruction, and our parents support at home and at school,” said Principal Don Webb. “This is an outstanding accomplishment considering there are 58 total Elementary Schools in the Fulton County School District.”

The numbers below — provided by Manning Oaks Elementary School — shows the mean national percentile of some of the schools in the north Fulton County area.
