“We’re delighted to join the Avalon community,” said John C. Metz, executive chef and co-founder of Marlow’s Tavern. “It’s exciting to be a part of Avalon and add to the experience residents and visitors have while shopping, playing, living and working. We look forward to sharing our tavern fare with new and existing customers in the Alpharetta neighborhood.”

The management team at Avalon consists of long-time Marlow’s Tavern employees, general manager Steffan Vickness and chef de cuisine Lee Reeves. Vickness has been with Marlow’s Tavern for four years and was most recently the general manager at the Midtown location. Reeves has been with the company for seven years and was the chef de cuisine at Marlow’s Kennesaw location before joining the Avalon team.

The duo is “committed to deliver Marlow’s chef-driven food, handcrafted cocktails and neighborhood hospitality that Marlow’s fans know and love,” the company said in a press release.

Marlow’s Tavern fare features crisp, cool salads, classic American burgers, fun food for the kids and more. The menu offers dishes made with the freshest ingredients, including the best local and seasonal items when available.

Avalon shoppers will be able to enjoy the “infamous” fish tacos as well as the shrimp and grits, which features a white cheddar grit cake with spinach, Roma tomato, shallot and roast tomato Buerre blanc.

In addition to the restaurant’s food menus, Marlow’s Tavern Avalon also features a renowned cocktail and wine list that includes wines from around the world with a variety of unique grapes and prices available by the glass or bottle. Beer connoisseurs will appreciate the selection of draft, bottled and canned selections including local, craft brews as well as national favorites.

The signature handcrafted cocktails, or soon to be classic bar menu is a crowd pleaser with drinks made of fresh fruit juices, housemade simple syrups, fresh herbs and the use of small batch liquors.

An enjoyable bonus specific to Marlow’s Tavern Avalon: Guests can take a to-go alcohol cup from Marlow’s after they dine. That beverage must be consumed inside the Avalon development, however

Marlow’s Tavern Avalon will be open for lunch and dinner Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m.
